I came from poor family, and I used obsolete laptop to watch Korean movies. My mother gave us time limit to use laptop, so I decided to buy my own laptop and cellphone when I got into college. I started with broken phone and used laptop. During Covid, I learned to navigate technology and use and download more effective apps for school such as scanner, adobe, canva, capcut and messenger. This technology is very useful to make a school project such as PowerPoint, social media posts, blogging and reading news. You can find mostly everything in this technology.
I want to learn the effective ways to teach students online or by the use of this technology. I want to understand the benefits of working at home because the advantage of technology. Those are my hope while I will be taking this class because I hope to get a skill from working and learning technology because it is one thing that employers look for. Thus, I want to get more certificates for this class to add in my resume. It allows me to find a position in where companies use technology such as office works from using excel, or online teachers.
Thank you for sharing a bit about your journey with technology! You are very independent as you took such measures to take matters into your own hands regardless of your financial circumstances. I love that you explored and found multiple ways you can benefit your education by using technology. You mentioned that you want to understand the benefits of working at home, and I, too, want to know because I plan on becoming a mother of many children someday, and I want to be able to spend as much time with my children as I can and if I can work from home, that'll be perfect.
I'm impressed that you learned to use so many programs during Covid. I would guess that was especially useful since it was a time when technology was how the world stayed connected. I hope you reach your goals in this class and for your career! 📈
First of all, I want to compliment your blog, it is colorful and very organized. I can relate a little bit to your story about technology, compared to most people, I had a late age when I started using technological devices. I agree with your vision concerning this class, I also hope that I will learn new skills and be able to use them to teach. Good luck to us!
My parents also gave us a time limit for screen time growing up. It's nice to be an adult and not have to worry about my phone shutting off anymore! I also like to watch Korean movies! I like how you pointed out that we are constantly learning how to use new technology.
