During the pandemic, I stayed here at BYU-Hawaii. At that time technology seemed not for me. I could not manage to cope with the use of technology. I could not focus and manage my time properly. So, I stopped because it seemed I wasn’t improving. I made a goal to do online classes back home. I felt online learning is a wonderful experience. I started to love it. I discovered I love to do digital. Online learning made me to improve in time management, creativity, learning to read books online. I learned to use technology wisely. I felt more engaging and productive.
The skill that I acquired was to be creative. Google slide is only a simple tool of making PowerPoint. I compared PowerPoint and google slides. I always use PowerPoint because it has many recommendations. It has more features compared to google slides. However, when creating my Bitmoji assignment, I figured it out google slide is better. Google slides can add links that seem to make a fun classroom. It sends you to other slides and websites. You have to learn a basic technique to make your google slides more unique than using PowerPoint.
Transitioning to online learning during the pandemic was challenging initially, but everyone was able to deal with digital education. I had the same experience; through online learning, I increased my skills in time management, creativity, and utilizing technology effectively, particularly with tools like Google Slides. It is true that at first, dealing with technology was not easy. However, with time, we learn to deal with it and understand it.
